Post to Threads Without the AI Label

Threads rides Meta’s pipeline, so the same C2PA/XMP triggers that hit Instagram apply to text-and-image posts.

What triggers “AI Info” here

  • Shared C2PA detection with Instagram
  • Cross-posted files carrying old markers

Upload-prep tips

  • If a cross-post picked up “AI Info”, clean the source file and repost rather than editing the live thread.
  • Run the checker on one file from each export source you use.
  • Clean batches of up to 30, then upload — never rely on re-uploading a “fixed” version of the flagged post.

Three-step routine for Threads

  1. Inspect. Confirm the file carries C2PA/XMP markers with the free checker.
  2. Clean. Strip everything with the browser-only remover — pixels stay identical.
  3. Publish. Upload the verified-clean copy to Threads.

If the label persists on a checker-clean file, Threads likely applied a visual classifier or the marker lives in another asset (cover frame, MP4 container). Metadata cleaning addresses the file-level trigger only.
