Why do platforms show an AI label?
Meta, TikTok and Pinterest scan uploads for provenance markers such as C2PA content credentials, XMP tags and related fields. When your file still carries those markers — even from a minor AI-assisted edit on a real photograph — the platform may attach an automatic “AI Info” / “Made with AI” disclosure. When the trigger is file-level metadata, cleaning the file before upload addresses it. There is no reliable in-app switch while the markers remain embedded.
What is image metadata? (EXIF, XMP, C2PA)
Beyond pixels, image files carry invisible data: EXIF (camera settings, timestamps, GPS), XMP (prompts, seeds and software tags written by AI tools), C2PA (signed provenance credentials) and PNG text chunks (full Stable Diffusion / ComfyUI workflows). Platforms read these on upload for transparency labeling. Inspect first, remove what you need, then publish.

How do I remove an AI label?

Is my image uploaded to a server?

Will quality be affected?
No for JPG/PNG/WebP — metadata lives outside the pixel data, so the image bytes are preserved exactly. AVIF (and other formats your browser must decode) are re-exported as PNG.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. Maximum 15MB per file, batches up to 30. GIF is not supported.
Does this guarantee the AI label disappears?
No tool can promise that. Some services also use visual classifiers or pixel watermarks, which metadata cleaning cannot alter. This addresses the common metadata-driven trigger.
What’s the difference between EXIF, XMP and C2PA?
EXIF is standard camera/device metadata. XMP is Adobe’s extensible format, used by AI tools to store generation parameters. C2PA is a newer cryptographic provenance standard. All three are removed here.
Is it legal to remove AI metadata?
Editing metadata on files you own is generally permitted, but publishing may be restricted by platform terms or regional AI-disclosure laws (e.g., the EU AI Act). You are responsible for compliant use — this tool provides file-level cleaning only, not legal advice. See the disclaimer.
