How to Calculate
VAT Amount = Price × (VAT Rate / 100)
Multiply the price by the VAT rate percentage divided by 100. To add VAT, add the result to the price. To remove VAT, divide the price by (1 + rate/100).
Worked Example
Price: £100, VAT rate: 20% → VAT amount: £20. Price incl. VAT: £120. Price excl. VAT from £120: £100.
